Pregnant and chic typically not two words that you hear in combination. This society pretty much fat shames all woman, pregnant women are not the exception. For me during my initial months of pregnancy my protruding belly and scale raising figure was a difficult adjustment. For someone who has historically loved fashion and dressing up, mornings presented a new challenge. But I learned to embrace the change and adapted my wardrobe without spending an insane amount on unattractive maternity clothes, I managed to maintain my personal sense of style only buying a few larger undergarments, couple of nightgowns for around the house, two pairs of maternity pants, a couple of stretchy dresses and loose fitting tops I could still wear after pregnancy, and tights which were an absolute must for me. Here are a few of my documented outfits that may help other preggies to lose the sweats and moo moos and feel fabulous up until your delivery date. Advertisements
I am sucker for stripes, so much so that I have to make calculated decisions about how many striped things I should buy. But I believe stripes are a classic look that could not go wrong.
love my striped pants, it adds some quirkiness to a sophisticated look. #stripes #hip #work #sophisticated
high knee boots , GUESS? , shop.guess.com/en/, in GUESS? Boots it seems more like a winter outfit because a slight chill is coming through Los Angeles. Still I love that I get to wear my coats, boots, and scarfs. Also, tip from me to you. Matching is not “in” anymore. Mismatch, colors, and patterns, looks cool. 🙂
when I purchased these pants I didn’t realize the color of pants was the exact color of my skin, creating the illusion of nudity. After several remarks from others now I know and embrace it outside of work hours 😉 http://lookbook.nu/onequalitylife wedge heels Target blouse H&M nude pants H&M —
mixing vintage finds. found skirt at thrift store appears to be from 1940’s. my husband gave me Rams t-shirt circa 1980’s. Unconventional mix, but hey I’m unconventional.
