Fear Response :/

Fear, debilitating, paralyzing at times. We all have felt it, some even on a daily basis. Just now I jumped out of my bed, after I felt a critter on me. There is much to be fearful of in the world, tornados, earthquakes, tsunamis, mountain lions, poisonous snakes, disease, death! However, we are not defenseless against these predators. Our crafty creator created in us with a fear response, the fight, flight, or freeze response. When we see a bear, our body either prepares it self to fight against this 7 foot monster (NOT), or you run away (very likely), or if your really smart you freeze into fetal position like we are advised to do so. Our bodies are amazing in situations such as these. Our digestive systems pauses, rushing all the blood we have to important places like our brain and our muscles. Our pupils dilate to allow us to see most clearly, and our lungs expand to receive more oxygen. All this is helping us to use our energy most efficiently in matters …

MUSIC=Happiness

Been thinking about the role music plays in our daily lives. Some wake up with music, others fall asleep with it, others run with it, even shower with it.  At times it may seem that music is the one thing that allows us to continue through our everyday mundane routine peacefully and amicably.  Although, there are dozens of genres the many things all music has in common is its themes. The BIG theme is LOVE, right? There is at least ONE song out there that speaks to somebody’s experience with love.  Naturally the theme that follows is heartbreak, that song that says the things you couldn’t, the melody that seems so familiar you wish you could of thought of it yourself. Of course songs about pain, contentment, sadness, pensiveness, being lost, being found, and who can forget SEX and drugs. There is surely a song for every occasion, which is great because sometimes we need a song to express to us exactly how we are feeling when we cannot do it for ourselves.  Surely music …
