Time Travelers

Time Travelers The human mind functions in many similar ways as a time machine does, constantly traveling backwards and forwards. In our cars, at our jobs…every thought seems to be dedicated to the art of traveling, thought traveling that is. I’ve noticed this in myself, I think about what I need to do NEXT week, what’s due for class? How my future might look? How my apartment will look when I finally stop living with my parents. I spend hours fantasizing about a future that is not here and that is not even guaranteed to be here. I also look back at the past, I think those days were easier, better, worse, whatever. Create as in to conceptualize, build, form, consolidate etc. As far as I am aware, human beings may be the only creatures on earth that create for the sake of creating. For instance, birds don’t build nests so they can sit and gander at it’s beauty and intricacy.  For a spider the formation of it’s web is not their leisure activity. It seems that all animal building and creating serves a concrete purpose, and the purpose is survival. Yet we create what …
