Grab a pen and paper it’s RESOLUTION time 2011!!!

Every year, millions of Americans make a list of resolutions for themselves. Some vow, to stop smoking, join a gym, read a good book, eat better…spend less, change careers, go to church, take a trip, spend more time with family, stop dating douche bags…the list goes on and on…..but how many of us actually follow through? My guess is less than 15 percent…… next new years comes along and we find ourselves making a list of the same resolutions we did years past, really signifying nothing really has changed!!! Why do some of us have such a difficult time following through?????? Here are some the reasons I’ve come up with: I think we set ourselves up for failure right from the start… Most of us make a list of extreme changes…..we dont work out at ALL, but somehow expect to go to the gym everyday! others smoke 3 packs a day but vow to go cold turkey January 1st.. some invest in the lottery hoping this will be their lucky year, knowing they have a better chance of …

Why is this your favorite time of season…..

So I’m officially blogging now, anything to avoid working on school work and finals. So I thought I would start with something completely relevant….THE HOLIDAYS.  “Oh tis the season to be jolly”, but have you ever thought of why? It may be a combination of family and friends, food….lots of food, gifts, parties, travel, decorations and twinkling lights, sugar high, spiked eggnog, christmas music, and an opportunity for a fresh start at the end of the month. However, this season is not happy for all. The holidays may bring about for some feelings of lonliness and despair, at the thought they should be joyful when they are not….and some dont make it to the next year. I sit down and I attempt to come up with the top three things that makes the holidays so great, and we might be surprised to find these are the things that help increase one’s quality of life through out the year and what that one lonely despair filled individual probably didnt have (generally speaking of course).  So here they are: 1. …
